JACQUELINE STEWART
Jacqueline Stewart is a Professor of Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Chicago. She co-curated the Kino-Lorber 5-disc set Pioneers of African American Cinema and presented films from this landmark collection on Turner Classic Movies with Ben Mankiewicz. Her publications include Migrating to the Movies: Cinema & Black Urban Modernity and L.A. Rebellion: Creating a New Black Cinema. In 2015 and 2017, she was named one of Chicago’s “50 Screen Gems” by Newcity magazine.
