Actor/writer/director/producer Bill Hader has become one of the most sought-after comedy minds in Hollywood. 2018 saw Hader make his directorial debut with the HBO pitch-black comedy series, Barry, which premiered in March. Serving as co-writer and executive producer with Alec Berg, Hader stars in the series as a burned out hit man from the Midwest who goes to Los Angeles to carry out a hit and gets caught up in the local theater arts scene.

Barry received 13 Emmy Award nominations including Best Series. Hader himself was nominated for Best Actor, Best Director, Best Writing as well as Best Guest Actor for his March appearance on Saturday Night Live. In addition, Hader received a Producers Guild Award, two Writers Guild Awards, a Critics Choice Film Award and received a Golden Globe nomination as well.

Hader made an early splash in 2005 as a regular cast member on NBC’s Saturday Night Live with his uncanny impressions. Heralded by New York Magazine as, “SNL’s new secret weapon, Hader boasted impersonations and sarcasm delivered with eviscerating deftness.”  Hader received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

After finishing his eighth and final season on SNL that same year, Hader went on to work with his former SNL cast mates, Fred Armisen and Seth Meyers, to co-create and star in IFC’s Documentary Now! Its debut season was named one of the best TV shows of 2015 by The New York Times in its year-end roundup and was nominated for an Emmy in the Outstanding Variety Sketch Series category.

On the film side, Hader has a vast array of credits including Trainwreck (2015), Superbad (2007), Pineapple Express (2008) and Tropic Thunder (2008). He segued with a dramatic role in 2014’s critically-acclaimed feature film The Skeleton Twins opposite Kirsten Wiig.

Hader will next be seen in IT 2, the sequel to the 2017 hit IT, which will be released in September.
